The Hunger Games - District 1

Hi guys! District 1 is here, this was going to be the final look in the series but  District 13 and a Capitol look have also been requested so i'll get down to doing them too soon! So thanks for taking the time to read this post, please follow my blog and visit my YouTube channel here and SUBSCRIBE!:D

District 1 make luxury items for the Capitol so they're seen as the richest district in Panem because of this I see them almost as Capitol 'wannabes'. So I made this a toned down version of the kind of makeup seen in the Capitol, the crazy lashes and lilac eye shadow. Also as District 1 is a career district, they are very deadly in The Hunger Games so I did a bright red lip look to present them as rich but a little bloodthirsty. ALSO (this look is quite deep - HA) in The Hunger Games the girl from District 1 takes the silver bow and arrow that Katniss so badly wants so I decided to add an arrow shape to the end of the glitter liner to represent that. This explanation was quite long so thanks if you're still here, enjoy the look and don't forget to watch the tutorial video!

...apply a mid-tone purple to the outer corner crease...

...using a tapered brush...

...apply this colour across the whole crease to darken the purple shades and give the look more depth...

...using a thin pencil brush...

...apply this light pink inglot colour tot he inner corner of your lid...

...using the same colour and this brush, create a brow highlight...

...use glitter liner to create an arrow shaped flick...

...apply flashes lashes...

...using a precise lip brush...

...carefully apply this lip tar...

...finish the lip tar with a gloss so it doesn't dry out too much...

...apply this mineral blush to the apples of your cheeks to finish the look.
